T2 (14.10.2018)

Aberdeen Oilers got off to a winning start at T2. (Oilers didn’t play T1). Claiming nine points out of nine in their first tournament of the season.

Aberdeen Oilers 6 – West Coast 5
Oilers had to dig deep against a West Coast side boosted by new players and improved from the Scottish Cup.

Oilers had to constantly come from behind and only clinched the points with 44 seconds left on the clock. This was a good game to win and both goalies excelled between the pipes. Special thanks to Vit Strachon who pulled off some great saves.

Oilers upped their game and took it to Dundee, dominating the match from the start and ran out convincing winners. This gave Vit Strachon a well deserved shut out.

Aberdeen Oilers 4 – Aberdeen University 3
Oilers started well against Uni in this Granite City derby, going two up in the first period. However Uni found some reserve strength scoring three goals without reply to go a goal up. This forced Oilers to also up their game scoring a minute later. Oilers scored the winning and only goal of the third period with 2:24 remaining on the clock and seeing out the remaining minutes to take the points despite a valiant effort by Uni.
